Phlebotomy is a challenging career where you will work directly with patients and have the ability to conduct lab work. Phlebotomy is a highly specialized are of clinical practice and a phlebotomist plays a vital part in collecting quality blood samples from patients and preparing those samples for laboratory testing. Phlebotomists typically perform venipunctures, fingersticks, or heel sticks to obtain specimens and work with laboratory personnel to manage, process, and transport specimens collected from patients. In some settings, phlebotomists may perform bedside testing.
By becoming a Phlebotomist, you will work in dynamic, fast paced environments such as hospitals, physician offices, clinics, nursing homes, and labs to create a comfortable atmosphere for your patients. The Phlebotomy Technician Certificate includes theory and hands-on instruction, while also preparing you to take the National Certification Exam.
Program Cost National PT Certification Fee
Total cost of $1099 which covers application fee, tuition, and lab supplies. Student will be responsible for buying the textbook. The national exam fee is not included in the program cost and it is payable directly to the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) at the end of the course. The fee for the exam is $109.
